What happens each night
Tap the lantern that’s glowing tonight. Three little moments are waiting inside, about ten to fifteen minutes in all.
Someone comes calling
A knock at the door, a tap on a frosty window, footprints in the snow. Who could it be tonight?
A game to play
Jigsaws, sled races, jingle bells, a snowball fight. Gentle enough for little hands, fun for big ones.
Something to make
Decorate a wreath, build a snowman, paint the northern lights. Everything they make stays in the wood.
A new friend every night
Each lantern brings someone new to the Christmas Eve party, from Mossy the mole in Lantern Wood to Juniper the reindeer in the Snowy North.
And many more waiting behind the lanterns…
A storybook that writes itself
After every three lanterns, a new chapter opens. The story is about your child, using their name, with everything they made along the way.
Eight chapters, from the first lantern to Christmas Eve
Every friend they meet, collected on its pages
A treasure map showing where the story goes next
Twenty-four nights, one big journey
The calendar tells a story across all of December, so every night feels like turning a page.
Lantern Wood
Hazel Hare is planning a party, and the invitations go out.
The Snowy North
A sled ride far away, to invite the friends of the ice and sea.
The party clearing
Home again to hang the lights, bake, and set the table.
Christmas Eve
Elves, a letter to Santa, carols, and a very special guest.

For grown-ups
How does it arrive?
Straight after you pay, you’ll see your Lantern Wood link on screen, and we’ll email it to you too. Keep the email somewhere safe, as that link is how you open the calendar each night.
When can we start?
The first lantern opens on 1 December and a new one each day after that. If you miss a night, don’t worry: earlier lanterns stay open, so you can catch up any time.
What ages is it for?
It’s made for children around 4 to 10. Younger children will love it with a grown-up beside them, and older ones can explore on their own.
What do we need?
Just a phone, tablet or computer with an internet connection. It opens in the web browser, so there’s nothing to install. Sound is nice but not essential.
Can we use it on more than one device?
Yes. Your family gets its own key that works on up to 5 of your devices, such as two phones and an iPad. Progress is saved on each device, so using the same one each night keeps the story together.
We have more than one child. Is that okay?
Of course. You can write more than one name on the envelope, and the whole family can enjoy it together.
Are there ads or sign-ups?
No ads, no accounts and nothing to sign up for. Just the calendar.
Can I give it as a gift?
Yes. Buy it, then forward the email with the link to the family you’re giving it to. Just don’t open the link on your own devices first, so all 5 places are kept for them.
